4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
½ cup sugar
¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
2 large eggs
2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup warm water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
Activate the yeast
In a small bowl, mix warm water with yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Prepare the dough
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Combine ingredients
