Moose Farts are a no-bake treat originating from Newfoundland, combining coconut, graham crackers, and marshmallows into a rich and sweet delight. Coated in chocolate and chilled until firm, these bite-sized confections are perfect for holiday platters or anytime snacking!


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 can (300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Base Mixture

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, and mini marshmallows until fully mixed.

Step 2: Shape the Farts

  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls using your hands.
  2. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3: (Optional) Coat in Chocolate

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip each ball halfway into the melted chocolate or drizzle the chocolate over the top.

Step 4: Chill and Serve
